Dear friends!

I am pleased to welcome you to the site of the Komi Representation Office in the Northwestern Region of the Russian Federation.

The Representation Office of the Republic of Komi has been operating successfully in St. Petersburg for over 12 years so far. St. Petersburg, the center of the Northwestern Federal District, is a convenient platform for inter-regional and international forums, conferences, presentations, festivals, meetings contributing to the development of trade and economic, scientific, technical and sociocultural relations, both between the Russian regions and with the foreign partners.

Today the republic is, more than ever, a forward-looking region. This is a Russian region with rich experience in development, which has enormous economic and human potentials and unique opportunities for moving forward.

The Komi Representation Office sees its main challenge as ensuring that all of these development opportunities have been realized. We are well aware of the fact that the economic and political contacts of the regions and their level of interaction will largely shape the future of the Northwestern Region and Russia!
